Capturing the moment, stopping time… There are many poetic ways to describe a photograph; to Anja photography is the realization that she has
been, that she has seen and the idea and assurance that there are many places she still needs to be, she still needs to see.
Photography has grown with her, from the early century’s pictures that were passed on to her by her great-great grandmother, through to
her own toothless grin immortalised by the loving eye of her mother and finally to her very own vision. Every step a frame, every frame a step, a parallel
journey started for pure personal pleasure, and now quintessential to her.
Her camera is her third eye and through it she captures the leaps and jumps of musicians as well as the giant heartbeat of the crowd singing
along; through it she sees her world and the world as it evolves.
There is beauty everywhere, from the breathless smile of a bride, to the staged decadence of a suburban landscape and Anja seems to breathe
the beauty through her art.
It's the absolute of vision, the perfect recording of forever.
